Peter Drucker's Philosophy

Efficiency is doing things right.
Effectiveness is doing the right things.

MONEY
Money follows knowledge
Money is not a problem
The problem is leadership and direction.

Profitability is not the purpose of,
but a limiting factor on,
business enterprise and business activity.

We need a measure, not a count.

MANAGEMENT
Management has mostly to do with people,
not techniques and procedures.
Their Engagement is what matters.

Management by objectives works only if you first think through your objectives.

KNOWLEDGE
Learning is a lifelong process
of keeping abreast of change.

The most pressing task is to
teach people how to learn.

The essence of management is to make
knowledge productive.

We will not be limited by the information we have.
We will be limited by our ability to process that information.

INDIVIDUAL

Know your strengths.
Ask, what needs to be done.
Ask, what do you want to be remembered for.

3 Most Important Questions
What is our business?
Who is the customer?
What does the customer consider value?

(Quoted from The Definitive Drucker, by Elizabeth Haas Edersheim)
